On the morning of February 17, which is the 1st day of Binh Ngo Tet, the Party Committee, government and people of Lung Cu commune organized the New Year's flag raising ceremony at the National Flagpole area. The ceremony took place in a solemn and respectful atmosphere, attracting a large number of officers, soldiers of the armed forces, people and tourists from all directions to attend.
In the heroic sound of the national anthem, the red flag with a yellow star was raised in pride and sacred emotion on the border of the Fatherland. At the same time, it also carries aspirations for a new year with many victories and people's lives increasingly improved.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Ngoc Duc - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Lung Cu commune sent New Year greetings to officials and people of the commune and emphasized the sacred meaning of the Spring Flag Raising Ceremony.
The spring flag raising ceremony in Lung Cu has become a beautiful traditional cultural feature maintained annually, not only creating a joyful and excited atmosphere in the first days of the new year but also contributing to educating patriotism and the sense of responsibility of each citizen towards their homeland and country.
Also this morning, Lung Cu commune organized to welcome the first international visitors to "break ground" at the northernmost point of the Fatherland. This event shows the image of friendly and hospitable Lung Cu, increasingly affirming its position on the Vietnamese and international tourism map.
