According to initial information, the fire broke out at around 8:00 a.m. on February 21 at house No. 2A, alley 129/2/19 Nguyen Trai, Thuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi. The house has an area of about 21m2, 5 floors, the area where the fire broke out on the first floor.
Upon receiving the fire alarm, the City Police Command Information Center mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team of Thanh Xuan District Police to dispatch 3 specialized fire trucks, 2 fire trucks and 16 officers and soldiers to the scene.
The fire fighting force determined that the fire started in the kitchen area of the first floor, with people trapped inside, the fire fighting commander directed officers and soldiers to focus on rescuing people, and quickly coordinated with the ward police force and people to organize fire fighting, preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.
During the process of organizing fire fighting and rescue, the authorities promptly rescued the 78-year-old homeowner to safety and stable health.
The cause of the fire was determined to be a magnetic cooker short circuit.
