The Thai Nguyen - Bac Giang - Vinh Phuc regional road project is over 42 km long, starting at Pho Yen city and ending at the intersection with provincial road 261 (Dai Tu district).
The project started construction in mid-May 2022 with a value of more than 3,800 billion VND, invested by the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Thai Nguyen province.
After more than 2 years of construction, the shape of the billion-dollar route has gradually appeared. Some locations have been paved with asphalt. In particular, the entire route has 3 large overpasses that are being accelerated, including: the railway overpass, the National Highway 3 overpass, and the Cong River overpass.
According to PV on November 27, all 3 overpasses are located in Pho Yen city, hundreds of workers and machinery were mobilized to implement the project.
At the railway overpass, the bridge piers are basically complete. Some bridge girders have been installed. Workers are continuing to construct the bridge deck.
The construction site of the Highway 3 overpass and the Cong River overpass is currently constructing piers, bridge foundations, and casting bridge girders. At the same time, underpasses for people are being built along the entire route. Hundreds of bridge girders have been completed and are awaiting installation.
Worker Nguyen Van Dong (Pho Yen City) said that at the construction site there are many construction teams, from casting beams to building bridge piers and underpasses. After completing all stages, the overpass beams will be installed.
"It takes 3 to 4 days to complete one overpass girder. My unit alone was assigned to cast more than 100 girders. During the construction process, the most difficult step was the girder installation, which required high technique, machinery and precision.
All workers are focused, trying to complete to speed up the project's progress, striving to complete it in the first quarter of next year," said Mr. Dong.
On November 27, informing reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Management Board of the project to invest in the construction of traffic works in Thai Nguyen province said that up to now, the project has completed 99% of the site clearance work.
The construction progress of the three major bridges has reached 58.57% of the volume, of which the railway overpass has reached 69.28%, the National Highway 3 overpass has reached 58.39%, and the Cong River overpass has reached 50.8%. These main bridges are required to be completed by the end of March 2025. The total volume value of the project along the entire route has so far reached more than 62%.
