On April 22, Mr. Nguyen Si Huan - Chairman of Ta Rut Commune People's Committee (Quang Tri province) said that at about 3 pm on April 21, a tornado occurred in a short time but with strong winds, blowing off the roofs of some local people's works.
Specifically, Mr. Ho Van Nia's house (born 1971) had its roof blown off with about 80 fibro roofing sheets and 10 tiles upside down. Mr. Ho Van Moi's house (born 1975) is currently managed by his son but has been abandoned since 2024 and 64 roofing sheets have also been swept away. In addition, Mr. Ho Van No's toilet (born 1971) has 4 damaged roofing sheets.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, leaders of Ta Rut commune and police and military forces were present at the scene, organized visits, encouragement and initial support of 2 million VND for affected households, and at the same time mobilized forces to help people collect and overcome damage.
Chairman of Ta Rut Commune People's Committee said that he will continue to monitor the situation, mobilize forces to support working days when people need to repair and rebuild their houses.
Through the incident, the Ta Rut commune government recommends that people proactively reinforce their houses before the rainy and thunderstorm season, regularly update weather information and promptly report to functional forces when incidents occur for support.
