Previously, on the afternoon of April 27, in An Minh district (Kien Giang), there was rain accompanied by a tornado that collapsed and blew off the roofs of 24 houses. Upon receiving the news, the An Minh District Military Command mobilized dozens of officers and soldiers to coordinate with local forces to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Initial statistics show that the tornado suddenly swept through Tan Thanh commune, collapsing and blowing off the roofs of 15 houses; Dong Hung A commune collapsed and blew off the roofs of 5 houses; Thuan Hoa commune collapsed and blew off the roofs of 4 houses.
The authorities are still assessing the initial damage, but fortunately there were no human casualties.
Immediately after the incident, the armed forces of An Minh district promptly grasped the situation, quickly reported to the Ministry of Military Affairs of Kien Giang province, coordinated with the authorities of the communes to quickly present at the scene to rescue people.
