On December 17, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Ba, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward, Da Nang City confirmed that a tornado had just occurred in the ward, blowing off the roofs of many houses.
The incident occurred at around 11am the same day, the tornado swept through Quy Ngoc block, Phu Quy block, causing damage to 4 households in the area.
Of which, 1 house had its roof completely blown off, the remaining 3 houses had tiles flying and were severely damaged. Fortunately, the incident did not cause any human casualties.
Immediately after the incident, the local government directed the Ward Military Command to mobilize forces to support affected households.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Phu Ward also visited the scene, visited and encouraged the affected families.
In Quy Ngoc block, Quang Phu ward, Da Nang city, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tu's family's house had its roof completely blown off, the ward leaders have supported the family with 5 million VND to help the family quickly overcome the damage.
A representative of the Quang Phu Ward Military Command said that when the incident occurred, the unit mobilized forces to help the affected family re-roof the new roof. At the same time, the unit has also collected belongings and stabilized housing for affected households.
By the afternoon of December 17, the work to overcome the consequences of the tornado had been completed.
