On July 17, according to information from the Traffic Police Department of Lai Chau Provincial Police, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, many points on National Highway 32 experienced flash floods and landslides.
Accordingly, points from Km357 to Km359 in the territory of Pac Ta and Muong Than communes were landslides with large volumes of soil and rock, causing National Highway 32 to be completely blocked. Up to now, functional forces have not been able to determine the traffic flow time.
In addition, at Km167+450 National Highway 279, the section passing through Chieng Ban village, Muong Kim commune, also experienced landslides, causing traffic to be completely cut off.
