Da Nang - Hundreds of officers, soldiers and doctors at two hospitals in Duy Xuyen and Dien Ban urgently cleared the mud, disinfected, and restored medical examination and treatment activities.

On the evening of October 30, immediately after receiving reports from grassroots units, at 8:00 p.m., flood water levels in many areas in Da Nang city began to recede.

Colonel Tran Huu Ich, Commander of the Da Nang City Military Command, urgently directed the armed forces to focus on prioritizing mud cleaning and disinfection at two key hospitals: Duy Xuyen General Hospital (Nam Phuoc Commune) and Dien Ban Regional General Hospital.

These two hospitals are large medical facilities, serving tens of thousands of people in areas severely affected by floods. After many days of deep flooding, the entire campus, corridor, and departments were covered with a thick layer of mud, many medical equipment were moist, posing a potential risk of pollution, seriously affecting medical examination and treatment.

Following the direction of the Commander, officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces, along with militia, self-defense forces and doctors at the two hospitals, urgently deployed environmental sanitation work, water pumping, mud collection, and disinfection of the entire affected area.

Many mechanical vehicles, pumps, chemicals, and lime were mobilized that night to speed up progress, ensuring that medical facilities can soon return to normal operations, serving the medical examination and treatment of the people well.

Along with that, the City Military Command has also approved a plan to assign forces, vehicles, and mobile equipment to areas severely affected.

Special attention should be paid to areas that are still partially flooded, with a lot of mud or houses, schools, and offices that have been severely damaged, to coordinate with local authorities and people to overcome the consequences of floods, clean up the environment, and restore daily life.
