Opening up job opportunities for people in remote areas
Ea Rieng commune (Dak Lak province) currently has 24 villages, about 3,800 households with more than 15,000 people belonging to 23 ethnic groups living together.
In which, ethnic minorities account for about 6.71% of the population. The locality has thousands of people of working age who are looking for jobs and improving their income.
Due to difficult terrain, land in some areas is not favorable for production, finding a stable job with sustainable income is a great desire of many people, especially young workers and ethnic minorities.
Grasping this practical need, in mid-May 2026, the Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center coordinated with the Ea Rieng commune government to organize a conference to advise and introduce domestic and labor export jobs for people in the area.

The program is implemented at 4 locations in the commune, attracting about 170 people to participate.
Here, workers are provided with information about the recruitment needs of businesses, domestic and foreign labor markets, policies to support vocational training, job creation as well as conditions to work abroad under contract.

Participating in the conference with the desire to find job opportunities for her children after graduating from high school, Ms. Le Thi Nhan (resident of Ea Rieng commune) spent a lot of time learning about industries with high recruitment demand, especially jobs with stable income, short training time and suitable for her children's abilities.
Ms. Nhan shared: "The family has 3 mothers and children. For many years, I have tried to escape poverty, but because I am worried about my children's education, there are still many difficulties.
My eldest child is studying in Japan and plans to work there for a long time. The second child is not yet mature, but I want to find suitable directions to guide my children later.

Similarly, Ms. Van Thi Tham (resident of Ea Rieng commune, 44 years old) also participated in the conference to learn about job opportunities for her children. Her family has 4 children, one of whom is in her 3rd year of university and needs to find a job after graduation. In addition, she is also interested in the labor export market to orient the future for the remaining children.
My family has 6 people, the main income comes from a small grocery store and a few acres of rubber, but the trees are still young and not yet harvested. I want my children to have stable jobs, have their own future, and not depend on their parents," Ms. Tham expressed.
Before deploying job counseling activities, the Ea Rieng commune government actively supported and made important contributions to the effectiveness of the program.
Parents and young workers preparing to enter the labor market proactively learning about recruitment needs and suitable occupations of businesses has helped them have more choices and career orientations suitable for themselves and their children. This is also considered one of the factors contributing to the success of the conference.

Sustainable direction for workers
In fact, Ea Rieng commune is still a difficult area, and the lives of a part of the population mainly depend on traditional agricultural production.
Therefore, expanding job placement channels, connecting workers with businesses, industrial parks or orienting them to work abroad under contract is considered an important solution to increase income and improve people's lives.

Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong - Deputy Director of Dak Lak Provincial Employment Service Center - said that organizing consulting and job introduction conferences in remote and isolated communes is an important task to bring labor market information closer to the people.
The source of funding for implementing activities mainly comes from national target programs. According to Mr. Cuong, currently many workers in rural areas, especially ethnic minority areas, still face difficulties in accessing recruitment information, vocational training support policies and job creation.
Therefore, organizing direct consulting at the local level helps people better understand the needs of businesses, thereby choosing a career that is suitable for their level, conditions and abilities.
Through consulting activities, the Center hopes to create a bridge between workers and businesses, helping people have more opportunities to find sustainable jobs, gradually improve their lives, and contribute to socio-economic development in the locality," Mr. Cuong emphasized.
