The traffic infrastructure of Dong Trieu City, Quang Ninh Province, will have many upgrades towards community living spaces and the construction of cultural institutions.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ngoan - Chairman of Dong Trieu Town People's Committee - said: "The infrastructure of Dong Trieu city is determined with 2 entities: existing residential areas and new urban areas. For existing residential areas, Dong Trieu has been investing in upgrading traffic, linked to the system of basic institutions. Dong Trieu currently has 162 hamlets, cultural houses that basically meet the living needs of people at the grassroots level."
"When upgrading the transport infrastructure, Dong Trieu determined a long-term vision, associated with community activities and utilities close to the people. Therefore, in the planning of the village area, we require that each village area has at least 1 to 2 parking lots combined with green land to create a space for community activities. Currently, Dong Trieu has invested in a number of model parking lots as points" - Mr. Ngoan said.
The People's Committee of Dong Trieu town has also just issued a plan to implement Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated September 28, 2024 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of 4 wards and Dong Trieu city, assigning specific tasks to departments, offices, and units with implementation progress.
Key contents include: Organizing extensive dissemination of the Resolution to all cadres, party members and people. Announcing the decision to establish the Party Committee, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations and organizing People's Council meetings to elect leaders and arrange cadres; Recalling old seals, carving new seals and completing the registration of seal samples for agencies before November 1, 2024; Converting documents for individuals and organizations, adjusting electronic records before December 31, 2024.
Looking back over the past 9 years, after 9 years of establishing the town, Dong Trieu has promoted the implementation of 3 strategic breakthroughs, focused on mobilizing and effectively using investment resources to build and develop synchronous infrastructure and was recognized as a type III urban area in 2020.
Dong Trieu planning also determines that development spaces must be closely linked to their own unique cultural and ecological characteristics. Accordingly, in parallel with the development of commercial centers, industrial zones, and modern urban areas, rural urban areas are developed according to the structural model of "village in the city", "city in the village".
Dong Trieu - the 5th city of Quang Ninh province, established will have a strong impact on the economic restructuring towards rapidly increasing the proportion of industry - handicrafts, trade - services; speeding up the industrialization and modernization process. With clearly defined planning, Dong Trieu urban area will have its own identity compared to other urban areas of Quang Ninh.
According to Resolution No. 1199/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee, after the arrangement and establishment, Dong Trieu city, Quang Ninh province has 19 commune-level administrative units, including 13 wards: Binh Duong, Binh Khe, Duc Chinh, Hoang Que, Hong Phong, Hung Dao, Kim Son, Mao Khe, Thuy An, Trang An, Xuan Son, Yen Duc, Yen Tho and 6 communes: An Sinh, Hong Thai Dong, Hong Thai Tay, Nguyen Hue, Trang Luong, Viet Dan with a population of 248,896 people.
