"I have had enough help to build a new house, so I would like to give it to them. The pain that people have just experienced after the natural disaster is too great," the man who left his mother, wife and son after storm No. 3 shared with Lao Dong Newspaper reporter.

According to Mr. Hai, during that difficult time, his family received help and support both materially and spiritually from leaders at all levels, authorities, neighbors and benefactors across the country.

"When I learned that the State was building a resettlement area for people, including my family, while I was there. Meanwhile, there are still many households in the area that have to be urgently relocated and have not been arranged a place to live. Therefore, my wish is to give up my resettlement spot to other households in difficult circumstances," Mr. Hai added.

It is known that Mr. Hai's family's new house has finished the foundation, is building the frame of the stilt house, and will try to complete it before Tet so that the father and son can have a new house to celebrate Tet.
