Quang Ngai - While there was a heavy rain and flood, a local resident went down to the stream and slipped and was swept away by the water, and is now missing.

At noon on October 29, Mr. Dinh Xuan Hoa, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ngoc Linh Commune, Quang Ngai Province, confirmed the incident and said that the commune's functional forces are making efforts to search for the missing victims.

Accordingly, at around 7:00 p.m. on October 28, Mr. A Pon (born in 1994, residing in Lang Dung village, Ngoc Linh commune) was traveling along Dak My stream when he unfortunately slipped and fell into the stream, was swept away by the water and went missing.

After receiving the information, Ngoc Linh Commune People's Committee organized a search force, but by 11 noon on October 29, the victim had not yet been found.

The leaders of Ngoc Linh commune visited, encouraged and provided the victim's family with 2 million VND in immediate support.

Currently, there is still heavy rain in the commune, the stream water is flowing rapidly, so the search is facing many difficulties. The commune government also recommends that people stay at home and limit travel during flood times.

Due to the impact of storm No. 12, from October 25 to now, there has been heavy rain in Ngoc Linh commune, the risk of landslides and flash floods continues to occur.
