Floodwaters on Thach Han River Rise, Man went to pick Up Wood and then went missing

    Quang Tri - A man went missing while collecting solid wood from the Thach Han River when the floodwaters rose.

    At noon on October 28, Mr. Tran Thien Nhan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ai Tu commune (Quang Tri province) confirmed that the forces are organizing a search for Mr. Trinh Dinh Thiep (born in 1968, residing in Tra Lien Tay village, Ai Tu commune) who is missing.

    Previously, at 9:00 p.m. on October 27, Mr. Thiep went alone to Thach Han River to collect solid wood, and had not returned until 11:00 a.m. on October 28. While leaving, Mr. Thiep rowed a small boat.

    According to Mr. Tran Thien Nhan, in recent days, there has been heavy rain in the area, the water level of Thach Han River has risen and flowed rapidly.

    "Currently, the units are searching and have not found any whereabouts" - Mr. Tran Thien Nhan informed.
