On the afternoon of May 7, in a quick exchange with reporters, Mr. Ta Xuan Trinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Thinh Commune, Yen Son District (Tuyen Quang) confirmed that a work accident had just occurred in the area, killing 1 person.
Accordingly, the incident occurred at more than 8:00 a.m. on May 7 at the quarry of Binh Ca Mining and Production Investment and Construction Cooperative (Binh Ca Cooperative) in Dat Tra village, Phu Thinh commune.
At this time, Mr. Tran Van D (born in 1997, residing in Thai Binh commune, Yen Son district) was a worker who was drilling on the stone path when the accident occurred. Mr. D was hit by a rolling rock and died.

At 15:00 pm 7.5, PV's record at the scene of the quarrying mines of Binh Ca Cooperative, all the production and machinery with the logo of Son Hai Group have been temporarily suspended. The area where the accident occurred with the appearance of the police and the government of Phu Thinh commune.
The excavation area is being drilled with unfinished stone. From the top to the foot of the mountain, there is a large slope with many large rocks lying around.
Informing reporters, a representative of Binh Ca Cooperative's quarry said that the new quarry has been officially put into operation for about 2 months now.
"The cooperative coordinates with Son Hai Group to exploit and equip machinery for stone mining and processing here all of Son Hai Group. In the immediate future, we have supported the victim's family with 30 million VND," said a representative of Binh Ca Cooperative stone quarry.
Currently, the authorities are continuing to clarify the exploitation process and plans to ensure labor safety at the quarry to clarify the cause of the accident and the responsibility of the parties involved.
Son Hai Group is the winning bidder for the construction of the Ho Chi Minh road section through Tuyen Quang province under the XL2 package, over 16km long with a total value of nearly 430 billion VND.
The stone exploited at Binh Ca Cooperative will be transported to serve the construction of the Son Hai Group project.
