According to initial information, at about 2:30 PM on March 12, a fire suddenly broke out at a house in group 3, Dien Bien Phu ward (old Tan Thanh ward). Due to many flammable items, the fire quickly flared up, causing people around to panic.
Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire and Rescue Police Department (PCCC&CNCH), Dien Bien Provincial Police mobilized specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to be present at the scene.
The Fire Prevention and Fighting & Rescue force deployed many teams using high-pressure water spray nozzles to directly control the fire and cool down surrounding houses, preventing the fire from spreading.
Officers and soldiers coordinated with Dien Bien Phu Ward Police and people of the residential group to urgently relocate many assets to safe places.
After nearly 20 minutes, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished; preventing the fire from spreading to surrounding households.
Currently, functional agencies are investigating and clarifying the cause of the fire.
