On September 29, information from the Nghe An Provincial Civil Defense Command said that as of 2:00 p.m. the same day, storm No. 10 had caused very serious consequences for people and property.
According to information from Quang Dong commune, MTBN (born in 2015, residing in Ngoc Lien hamlet) drowned while leaving home at 5:15 a.m. on September 29. At around 6am the same day, the search force discovered the child's body.

In addition to human damage, storm No. 10 also seriously damaged many infrastructure and people's lives: 10 houses were completely collapsed, 18 houses were severely damaged by landslides, more than 19,200 houses had their roofs blown off, over 2,200 houses were flooded less than 1 meter deep. The school and health system was affected with 43 schools and 18 medical facilities damaged.
Regarding agricultural production, the whole province has more than 2,200 hectares of rice, nearly 2,600 hectares of vegetables and more than 7,100 hectares of forest damaged. Tens of thousands of poultry and livestock were swept away; nearly 2,700 hectares of aquaculture ponds were affected. The authorities also recorded many national highways, provincial roads and local roads being flooded and landslides, causing congestion at nearly 100 points.
Storm No. 10 also broke more than 1,100 electric poles, 18 km of power lines were broken, many transformer stations, welcome gates, and public works were damaged.
The Nghe An Provincial Civil Defense Command said it is focusing on mobilizing "4 on-site" forces to overcome the consequences, prioritize repairing schools, medical facilities, restoring electricity - water - transportation, and at the same time deploying flood response after the storm, ensuring safety for people.
