A 3.5-ton truck worth VND500 million and a excavator worth VND600 million were swept away by the flood.
Hundreds of people's sacks were swept away by the water, causing hundreds of millions of VND in damage.
Regarding agriculture, it is estimated that about 200 hectares of rice were completely destroyed; nearly 2 hectares of fish ponds with a yield of 1.2 tons were completely lost; hundreds of cattle and poultry were swept away. The total damage to agriculture is about 2.488 billion VND.

The cultural houses of Pa Khom and Pa Khoang villages were also completely swept away by the flood. Many other works such as the Me village cultural house and the embankment of the Luan Goi commune cultural house were severely eroded and could not be repaired.
Dozens of landslides appeared on inter-commune and inter-village roads, causing traffic disruption; 8 irrigation works were buried, directly affecting production.
The total value of damage caused by the flash flood in Muong Luan commune is estimated at about 9.471 billion VND.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trong Hue - Chairman of Muong Luan Commune People's Committee, the commune has supported the evacuation and emergency relocation of households with houses in dangerous and landslide areas. Mobilizing machinery, vehicles and human resources to overcome the initial situation.
The leader of Muong Luan commune added that the commune has proposed to the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to provide emergency funding to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, especially for households that have lost their homes, assets, and production, causing serious damage.
