On May 22nd, the People's Committee of Luong The Tran commune, Ca Mau province issued a notice to organize the collection of people's opinions on the project to establish the administrative unit of Luong The Tran ward.
According to the plan, the Commune People's Committee coordinates with hamlets to establish delegations to go to each household to directly get opinions from household representatives on the establishment of Luong The Tran ward.
The opinion collection is carried out based on the resolutions of the National Assembly Standing Committee on urban classification, administrative unit standards and related guiding documents of the Government and Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee.

After arranging the administrative unit, the new Luong The Tran commune was formed from the merger of the entire natural area and population of the old Thanh Phu, Phu Hung, Luong The Tran communes and a part of Loi An commune.
Currently, Luong The Tran commune has an area of nearly 136km2, a population of about 63,000 people; with 30 hamlets, 53 directly affiliated party cells with nearly 1,500 party members.

The locality sets a target to achieve an average product value growth rate of 10.5%/year by 2030; establish 199 new businesses; 75% of people make transactions without cash; reduce the poverty rate to below 0.15%.
The locality strives to increase per capita income by 27%; 95% of waste is collected; 65% of people use standard clean water; 100% of schools have standard clean water and toilets; continue to maintain a high level of health insurance coverage.
Luong The Tran commune also identified 3 breakthrough stages including: developing development planning to 2030 associated with driving projects; developing agriculture - aquaculture according to the value chain; promoting innovation, digital transformation and private economic development to create new growth momentum.
Currently, Ca Mau province has 9 wards and 55 communes.
