At the inspection session of the Legal Committee of the People's Council of Ca Mau province on September 26, it was affirmed that Tac Van commune currently meets 4/4 standards according to the provisions of Resolution No. 1211/2016/UBTVQH13 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, ensuring it is upgraded to a ward.
According to the proposal of the Provincial People's Committee, Tac Van ward will be established on the basis of the current status of area (5.59 km2 of natural area) and population size (14,180 people) of Tac Van commune.
Thus, upgrading Tac Van commune to Tac Van ward, Ca Mau city will have 11 wards and 5 communes.
The establishment of Tac Van ward on the basis of the original natural area and population size of Tac Van commune ensures the conditions and standards according to regulations to promote the potential, advantages and be the driving force for the socio-economic development of Ca Mau city. The establishment of Tac Van ward ensures the consensus of the people; ensures solidarity, is consistent with the historical and cultural factors of the locality and creates favorable conditions for production, business and trade of the people.
Tac Van Commune is the gateway to Ca Mau city, Ca Mau province on National Highway 1, adjacent to Bac Lieu province, which is rapidly developing in urban and service areas.
Also this morning, the Legal Committee reviewed the document on the issuance of a Resolution amending Clause 3, Article 5 of Resolution No. 23/2023/NQ-HDND dated October 10, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating titles and a number of regimes and policies for non-professional workers in communes, wards, towns and hamlets in the province.
