On December 4, Mr. Ho Huu Hieu, Head of the Economic - Infrastructure - Urban Department of Hiep Thanh Town (Lam Dong) said that due to prolonged heavy rain, water from upstream caused National Highway 20 through Dinh An, K'Ren, and K'Long villages to be heavily flooded. Low-lying residential areas in these villages are isolated due to water levels from 1.5 to 2.5m high.

According to Mr. Hieu, from 0:00 to 4:00 a.m. on December 4, floods and rains inundated more than 400 hectares of land and crops, over 70 state-owned houses were flooded 1.5 - 2.5 m deep, 2 houses were damaged; floods and landslides caused 3 bridges for people. The authorities promptly evacuated 16 people, including many elderly people, sick people and children, from the danger zone, so there were no casualties.
During the night of December 3 to early morning of December 4, in Da Lat, due to heavy rain, residential areas along Phan Dinh Phung stream in Cam Ly - Da Lat and Xuan Huong - Da Lat wards were heavily flooded.

Similarly, residential areas and vegetable and flower gardens on Cach Mang Thang Tam, Trang Trinh, Truong Van Hoan streets... in Lam Vien - Da Lat wards were also heavily flooded, causing water to flood into many households' houses, damaging property and belongings.

In Nam Ban Lam Ha commune (Lam Dong), Mr. Phan Tien Dung, Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said that heavy rain caused water from upstream to flow down, causing Dong Thanh stream to rise.
The rising water flowed rapidly, causing many houses to be deeply flooded, including a poultry farm, causing heavy damage. Along with that, heavy rain also cut off some residential roads and caused flooding of dozens of hectares of crops in Dong Thanh village.

The commune has mobilized forces to be present promptly to warn of traffic diversion to ensure traffic safety; at the same time, supporting people to move their assets to a safe place.
In Luong Son commune (old Binh Thuan province), heavy rain caused deep flooding, isolating many residential areas. To ensure the safety of Mr. Vo Tien Trung, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Luong Son commune signed and issued an urgent notice on letting students in the area stay home from school to ensure safety due to the impact of floods.

According to the People's Committee of the commune, prolonged heavy rain caused the water level of the Luy River to exceed alert level III and continue to rise rapidly, causing deep flooding in many residential areas and traffic routes. The weather situation is complicated, posing a potential risk to students' safety when traveling to school.
Currently, floodwaters have overflowed National Highway 1A, Ong Bat bridge section (the area bordering Luong Son - Song Luy) for more than 1m, the police force is regulating traffic.
