According to information from the Standing Committee for Natural Disaster response and Search and Rescue of Phu Tho province, in the Hoa Binh area, from the night of September 28 to the morning of September 29, there was heavy to very heavy rain, with common rainfall of over 50mm.
Some places recorded heavy rainfall such as Tan Pheo commune 92.8mm; Can Thuong lake (Cao Phong commune) 116.6mm; Van Son commune 107.4mm; Tan Mai commune 93.4mm.
On the morning of September 29, heavy rain caused landslides on many traffic routes in mountainous communes. On Provincial Road 433, km46 through Tan Pheo Commune, rocks and soil from the positive slope overflowed, making it impossible for vehicles to travel.
On the Van Son - Mien Doi route (Thuong Coc commune), landslides also occurred. Local authorities have erected barriers, put up warning signs and notified people to temporarily stop traveling through this area.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi) will continue to cause heavy to very heavy rain in Phu Tho in the coming days, with strong winds and thunderstorms. The risk of landslides, flash floods and inundation in low-lying areas is at a high level.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Phu Tho province has issued an urgent telegram, requesting localities to closely monitor the forecast, proactively evacuate people when needed, control dangerous landslides and promptly inform to minimize damage.
