Dak Lak - Dozens of buffaloes of people in Ea Sup commune have died from drowning. Currently, floods are still rampant in the area.

On the morning of November 7, Mr. Do Xuan Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee of Ea Sup commune (Dak Lak province) - confirmed that due to the impact of storms and floods, 23 buffaloes of 7 households have just died in the area.

According to initial information, from the afternoon of November 6, there began to be heavy rain in Ea Sup commune. The commune has implemented a plan to relocate 5 households with about 20 people in the lake area to a safe place.

However, the floodwaters poured in quickly, causing many households tying buffaloes in the fields to not be able to move to other places. Therefore, 23 buffaloes of 7 households died from drowning.

"The commune has mobilized forces to support the collection, statistics of damage and called on organizations and individuals to support according to market prices to help people reduce losses" - Mr. Dung added.

In Ea Sup commune, there are still some locally flooded areas, temporarily cut off traffic. The authorities have stretched ropes and put up warning signs to prevent people from going through deep water, waiting for the water to recede.
