According to a report from Vinasarcom in Quang Nam province, the amount of rain measured at many stations in the past 24 hours was very large: Dai Hiep commune (Dai Loc) 318.2mm, Duy Phu (Duy Xuyen) 262mm, Hoi An 298mm, Cu Lao Cham up to 421mm - the highest level in the province.

Many traffic routes in low-lying areas were flooded from 0.5m to 1m, causing a series of motorbikes and cars to stall in the middle of the road. In Phuoc Duc village (Dai Hung commune, Dai Loc), people said that the water rose rapidly at night, many households had to stay up all night to watch the flood.
"I work the night shift at more than 3am, the road through Ha Tan bridge is flooded with more than half a wheel, and I have to walk several hundred meters. The two vehicles in front stalled and were lying unused in the middle of the road" - Mr. Tran Van Thuc (Dai Lanh commune) shared.

In particular, in many residential areas in the flood center of Dai Loc, floodwaters flooded into their homes at night, leaving people unable to react. The whole family had to quickly move their belongings up high to avoid the flood.
"The water rose so quickly that in just about 1 hour it was almost up to the knee. My whole family had to stay up all night to put up beds, cabinets, and electronic items. Children cry out of fear, adults worry about clearing water" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen (Dai Hung commune, Dai Loc district) recounted.

Not only paralyzing traffic, heavy rain also caused damage to agricultural production. Many crop areas in the low-lying areas of Duy Xuyen and Thang Binh, Dien Ban were deeply flooded, at risk of losing everything. Mr. Nguyen Ki, a farmer in Dien Ban, felt heartbroken when his fields were submerged in white water: "I had just sowed the summer-autumn rice a few days ago, now the water is white. If the rain continues, the whole crop will be lost.

According to the forecast from the Quang Nam Hydrometeorological Station, during the day and night of June 12, heavy rain will continue to occur widely, with total rainfall in the common plains of 100 - 250mm, some places over 300mm. From the afternoon of June 13, the rain will decrease rapidly.

Local authorities are urgently checking deeply flooded areas, arranging forces to be on duty, warn of traffic and evacuate people from dangerous areas if necessary. At the same time, irrigation and hydropower units are also required to operate and regulate reservoirs to ensure safety downstream.
