Floodwaters isolate hundreds of households in Quang Nam
From the night of June 11 to the morning of June 12, 2025, due to the impact of storm No. 1, prolonged heavy rain caused floods to suddenly rise in many localities. Dai Loc, Duy Xuyen, Que Son and Phu Ninh districts are among the most severely affected areas.

In Dai Hung commune (Dai Loc district) - the flood center - water began to rise rapidly from late night to the morning of June 12, leaving hundreds of households unable to react. The water level in some places was more than 0.5 m deep, overflowing into people's houses, cutting off the entire traffic route in the commune.
Around 2am, the water started to rise very quickly, unpredictable. By 7am, the water was more than half a meter deep, cutting off all paths" - Mr. Ho Van Hoa (Dai Hung commune) said.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Than - Chairman of Dai Hung Commune People's Committee informed that the floodwaters from the Con River suddenly rose, all villages in the commune were isolated. Many houses were deeply flooded, causing property damage and crops to be submerged. Notably, a buffalo of Mr. Dinh Hon's household (Yeo village, Dai Hung commune) died from drowning.

"Currently, traffic routes are deeply flooded and cannot be moved. The commune is implementing the 4-on-the-spot motto, waiting until the water recedes to be able to use boats to reach and support people" - Mr. Than said.
In Dai Lanh commune (Dai Loc district), Ba Khe bridge is deeply flooded, vehicles cannot circulate. Many residential areas were submerged in water, forcing people to move their belongings at night.
Getting used to it
The flooding situation is also serious in other districts. In Que Son district, Ben Dinh bridge (old Son Vien commune) was flooded, the authorities put up ropes and banned vehicles from passing. The section through Que Loc Commune Martyrs' Cemetery was flooded, causing traffic disruption.

Places such as Ong Thu, Ong Ty culverts, Tra Ne spillways, and N10 canals in Phu Ninh district were also deeply flooded.
In Duy Xuyen district, river water overflowed the road, into houses in Duy Son and Duy Trung communes; many areas of crops were submerged in water, some places were flooded over 1 meter.
Local authorities are actively deploying rescue forces, closely monitoring the flood situation and promptly notifying people. The work of checking damage, supporting crops, assets and ensuring the safety of people's lives is being given top priority.
According to the Quang Nam Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of storm No. 1, from June 12 to the end of June 13, Quang Nam will continue to have heavy to very heavy rain, especially concentrated during the day and night of June 12.
Rainfall in the plains is generally from 100250mm, in some places over 300mm; In mountainous areas, it can be recorded from 80150mm, locally over 200mm.
