The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) has just issued a quick report on the flood situation due to storm No. 1, updated to 11:30 on June 12, 2025.
Rainfall: From 7:00 p.m. on June 11 to 11:00 a.m. on June 12, the provinces from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai and Kon Tum will have heavy to very heavy rain, with common rainfall from 150-250mm, especially some stations with 300-500mm rain such as in Hue City, Bach Ma peak recorded 632mm rain, Thuong Lo 574mm, Giang Hai: 378mm; In Da Nang City, Luong stream recorded 421mm rain, Hoa Hai: 380mm. In addition, some other localities also recorded heavy rain.
Flood situation
Floods in some rivers in Hue, Quang Nam will rise to level BDI (alarm 1) and above BDI, water levels at some stations at 10:00 on 12.6: Kien Giang (Q.Binh): 8.59 > BDI is 0.59m; Thuong Nhat (ta Trach river, Hue): 60.34m > BDI is 1.34m; Ai Nghia (Vu Gia river, Quang Nam): 7.23m > BDI is 0.73m; Thanh My (Cai river, Quang Nam): 16.27m > BDI is 1.27m.
Damage situation: Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam
- Regarding people: No
- Regarding housing: flooded 300 houses in Dai Loc district, Quang Nam
- Regarding ships: 03 sunk (Q.Binh: 02 operating at sea, Da Nang: 01 ship anchored at the wharf), no human casualties. Specifically, the QB-93451-TS/4LD ship sank at 12:00 on June 11, the QB-92756-TS/4LD ship sank at 8:58 on June 11 while operating at sea. Currently, 8 crew members have been safely rescued by fishing vessels QB-93964-TS and QB-92405-TS.
- Regarding agriculture: Flooded 22,500 hectares of rice and crops (12,758 hectares, Da Nang 1,497 hectares, Quang Tri 8,246 hectares), 33 hectares of aquaculture (Da Nang).
- Regarding traffic: In Quang Tri, 07 culverts were flooded on roads in Dak Rong district; In Hue, landslides were recorded on slope 14C, La Son - Tuy Loan road, Phu Loc district and Ho Chi Minh road (Km350), A Luoi district.
In Da Nang, flooding on some inner-city roads has caused 02 rural traffic points to be withdrawn and landslides; In Quang Nam, flooding was recorded at 03 provincial roads (DT.603B, 609, 615B).
