On January 12, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) said that in order to promptly inform and propagate to organizations and individuals in the city about new regulations in the registration and management of road motor vehicles, the unit informed about the fee collection level for registration and issuance of vehicle license plates in Ho Chi Minh City according to Circular 155/2025/TT-BTC of the Ministry of Finance, issued on December 31, 2025.
Ho Chi Minh City is identified as zone I, applying the corresponding fee level to all communes and wards directly under the city, regardless of whether it is inner or outer city. Con Dao special zone is applied the fee level according to zone II.
The registration fee and license plate issuance are as follows:
According to the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, the collection of registration fees and license plates for specialized motorbikes is implemented according to Circular No. 154/2025/TT-BTC of the Minister of Finance, with specific collection levels as follows:
- New issuance, exchange, re-issuance, time-limited issuance of vehicle registration certificates with vehicle license plates: 140,000 VND.
- Exchange or re-issuance of vehicle registration certificate without vehicle license plates: 35,000 VND.
- Issuance of temporary vehicle registration certificate, temporary license plate: 49,000 VND.
- Close frame number, engine number: 50,000 VND.
The Traffic Police Department - Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that organizations and individuals when carrying out vehicle registration procedures should proactively carefully study legal regulations, prepare complete dossiers according to instructions so that the registration and license plate issuance process can be carried out quickly and in accordance with regulations.
