As of 1:00 p.m. on December 11, 2025, according to an update from Vietnam Electricity Group, Tuyen Quang Lake, the water level reached 119.61m, nearly the normal rising water level (120m). The flow to the lake is 70m3/s and no discharge is generated.
In the Northwest area, Lai Chau, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang lakes maintain water levels close to the permitted level, with low flow and no discharge.
Notably, Son La Lake measured the water level at 214.81m at 12:00, only 0.19m lower than the normal increase. The water flow to the lake reached 1,252m3/s, the total discharge was 608m3/s, all through the plant to optimize power generation and regulation.
Similarly, Hoa Binh Lake recorded the largest water flow to the North at 1,763m3/s. The lake is maintaining 730m3/s discharge through the plant. The water level at 12 noon was at 116.09m, 1m lower than the normal rising water level.
At Thac Ba Lake, the water level is 57.89m - nearly the normal increase (58m). The flow is 120m3/s and the discharge plant is 64.54m3/s.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on December 11, the Northern region will have rain in some places, with scattered fog and light fog in the early morning. Cold at night and morning, some places are very cold.
The South Central Coast region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day.
The Southern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; the Western region will have moderate rain, locally heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms.
