According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 2:30 PM on April 10, in the Northern region, Hoa Binh Lake continued to be the main power source of the system. The upstream water level reached 114.75 m, 117 m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the lake reached 587 m3/s. The plant is generating electricity with a total discharge through turbines of up to 1,700 m3/s, the highest level among lakes nationwide.
On the same step as the Da River, Son La reservoir operates stably with a discharge flow of 131 m3/s, while water inflow reaches 92 m3/s.
Upstream lakes including Lai Chau, Ban Chat, Huoi Quang have low water flow, fluctuating from 5–96 m3/s and do not need to discharge regulation.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir recorded a water level of 114.14 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 50 m3/s, the plant is generating electricity with a total discharge flow of 123.7 m3/s.
Thac Ba Lake has water flowing at 69 m3/s but has not been discharged.
In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir discharged 85 m3/s, Khe Bo reservoir discharged 167.8 m3/s, basically equivalent to the amount of water coming in.
Ban Ve Lake and Quang Tri Lake do not need to be discharged due to low water flow, fluctuating from 2–35 m3/s.
The South Central Coast region continues to record low water flow to the reservoir. A Vuong reservoir discharges 29 m3/s, Song Bung 4 discharges 50 m3/s, Vinh Son A discharges 9.72 m3/s; many other reservoirs have not yet had to discharge.
In the Central Highlands, some power generation reservoirs with moderate flow rates such as Thuong Kon Tum discharging 26.41 m3/s, Ialy discharging 19 m3/s, Dong Nai 3 discharging 62.46 m3/s. Some reservoirs opened discharge gates with small flow rates including An Khe (8 m3/s), Srepok 3 (0.83 m3/s) and Buon Kuop (14.82 m3/s). Many other reservoirs have not implemented regulated discharge.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir recorded a water inflow of 270 m3/s but has not been discharged for regulation.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 10th, the autumn region from Thanh Hoa to Hue City has intense and especially intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 38-40 degrees C, with some places above 40 degrees C.
The Northwest region and from Da Nang City to the east of Dak Lak province will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 38 degrees Celsius.
The Northeast region (excluding Quang Ninh, Hai Phong), the Central Highlands and the South have hot sun, in some places intense hot sun with the highest temperature commonly 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.
