According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 5th, at Tuyen Quang Lake, the upstream water level is at an elevation of 114.96m, lower than the normal water level by 5.04m.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 50 m3/s, currently no discharge flow has been recorded.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau reservoir reached 288.64m, 6.36m lower than the normal water level; inflow to the reservoir 96 m3/s, not yet discharged for regulation.
Ban Chat Lake is at an altitude of 431.32m, close to the dead water level, low inflow to the lake (9 m3/s).
Huo Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.43m, only about 0.57m lower than the normal water level, with a flow to the lake of 5 m3/s.
Notably, the reservoirs on the Da River system continue to generate electricity with large discharge flows. Son La Lake has a water level of 212.49m, water inflow to the reservoir is 94 m3/s; total discharge through power generation is 153 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake reached 115.82m, water inflow to the lake 302 m3/s, total discharge flow 295 m3/s. Thac Ba Lake recorded a water level of 53.01m.
According to the meteorological agency, the Northern region on April 5th will have light rain in some places, sunny skies in the afternoon. The highest temperature is commonly 31 - 34 degrees Celsius. Especially in the Northwest region, there are places with hot sunshine above 36 degrees Celsius.
The Southern region is sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places, concentrated in the East.
