According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:00 AM on June 10, in the Da River and Son La Lake basin, the upstream water level reached 197.41m, 17.59m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the lake reached 3,019 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 1,908 m3/s.
Similarly, Hoa Binh reservoir recorded a water level of 97.45m, nearly 20m lower than the normal water level of 117m; inflow to the reservoir reached 1,203 m3/s, significantly higher than the discharge flow of 731 m3/s.
In the upstream area, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 287.5m, a flow to the lake of 1,248 m3/s and a total discharge flow of 1,427 m3/s. Huoi Quang Lake maintains a water level of 369.33m, only 0.67m lower than the normal water level, with a total discharge flow of 343 m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 98.01m, 21m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 286 m3/s, total discharge flow 466.35 m3/s. Thac Ba Lake maintains a water level of 49.59m, about 8.4m lower than the normal water level.
In the North Central region, the water levels of Trung Son, Ban Ve, Khe Bo and Quang Tri reservoirs are all significantly lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoirs is mainly at a low to medium level, ranging from a few m3/s to more than 160 m3/s.
The South Central Coast region recorded quite low water inflow to the reservoirs. Many reservoirs such as A Vuong, Song Bung 4, Song Tranh 2 and Song Ba Ha do not discharge water or only generate electricity with small flows. The water level of the reservoirs is still below the normal level from a few meters to tens of meters.
In the Central Highlands, reservoirs on the Se San and Dong Nai river systems continue to operate stably. Ialy Lake has a water level of 496.48m, nearly 19m lower than the normal water level. Se San 4 Lake reaches 212.1m, about 2.9m lower than the normal water level. In the Dong Nai basin, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4, Dai Ninh, Ham Thuan and Da Mi reservoirs all maintain water levels below the normal water level.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 55.4m, 6.6m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 390 m3/s, while the total discharge flow was 589 m3/s.
