According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 16:00 on June 2, at Hoa Binh reservoir, the upstream water level reached 101.12m, 15.88m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 3,001m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant was 2,994m3/s.
Son La Lake recorded a water level of 194.75m, 20.25m lower than the normal water level of 215m. The water flow to the lake reached 1,263m3/s, the total discharge through the plant was at 1,460m3/s.
At Lai Chau Lake, the upstream water level reached 289.25m, nearly 6m lower than the normal water level. Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 442.2m, 32.8m lower; Huoi Quang Lake reached 368.86m, only about 1.14m lower than the normal water level.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 100.34m, nearly 20m lower than the normal water level. The inflow to the reservoir reached 225m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant was 802.14m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba Lake reached a water level of 50.14m, 7.86m lower than the normal water level. Inflow to the lake reached 86m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 2nd, the Northern region (except Quang Ninh-Hai Phong), the North and Central Central regions will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest common temperature of 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.
The Southern region has rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).
