According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 11:00 AM on March 11, in the Northwest region, some large lakes had quite high water inflows.
Son La Lake recorded an upstream water level at 214.94 m (close to the normal water level of 215 m), the water inflow to the lake reached 392 m3/s and the total discharge flow was 546 m3/s, all through the plant.
Hoa Binh Lake has a water level of 113.86 m, lower than the normal water level by 117 m; the water inflow to the lake reached 983 m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant is 421 m3/s.
Lai Chau Lake is currently at 294.75 m, close to the normal water level of 295 m, with a water flow to the lake of 328 m3/s and a total discharge through the plant of 224 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Huoi Quang reservoir has a water level of 369.51 m, a water inflow of 258 m3/s and discharge of 264 m3/s through the plant.
Ban Chat Lake recorded a water level of 445.58 m, significantly lower than the normal water level of 475 m; inflow to the lake is 51 m3/s and discharge is 251 m3/s through turbines.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 114.45 m (120 m lower than the normal water level). The inflow to the reservoir reached 99 m3/s and has not yet been discharged.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 158.82 m (close to the normal water level of 160 m), the water flow to the lake reaches 92 m3/s and discharges through the plant 58 m3/s.
Khe Bo Lake recorded a water level of 64.41 m with a total discharge through the plant of 95.5 m3/s, much higher than the water flow to the lake (0.3 m3/s). Meanwhile, Ban Ve Lake and Quang Tri Lake have not yet discharged water.
In the South Central Coast, Song Tranh 2 reservoir has a water flow to the reservoir of 203.78 m3/s and discharges through the plant 198 m3/s, the water level reaches 174.6 m, close to the normal water level of 175 m.
Song Ba Ha reservoir also recorded a total discharge volume of 120 m3/s, higher than the water flow to the reservoir by 65 m3/s.
The Central Highlands region continues to record many lakes operating and generating electricity stably.
Ialy Lake has a water level of 508.03 m, a water inflow of 168 m3/s and discharge of 199 m3/s. Se San 4 Lake discharges 320 m3/s while the water inflow reaches 246 m3/s.
Some other reservoirs such as Pleikrông, Sê San 3 and Sê San 3A also maintain discharge flow equivalent to or higher than the water inflow to serve power generation.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 61.7 m (close to the normal water level of 62 m), the water inflow to the reservoir reaches 120 m3/s and has not yet discharged water.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for March 11th, the Northern region will have light rain in some places at night, foggy in some places in the early morning, sunny during the day. Cold at night and in the morning.
The Central Central region has rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places.
The Southern region in the late afternoon and night has showers and thunderstorms in some places; sunny during the day.
