According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on February 13, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level of 113.81 m, 120 m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the lake reached 65 m3/s, total discharge volume 123.44 m3/s, all through the plant.
In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake recorded a water level of 293.41 m (normal water level of 295 m), inflow to the lake of 278 m3/s, total discharge of 69 m3/s through the plant.
Ban Chat Lake has a water level of 459.74 m, with a total discharge volume of 277 m3/s. Huoi Quang Lake discharges 132 m3/s through the plant.
Son La Lake maintains a water level of 214.55 m, approaching the normal water level of 215 m; total discharge volume 70 m3/s.
Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water inflow of 248 m3/s, with a total discharge volume of up to 626 m3/s, all through the power plant.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has a water level of 158.19 m (normal water level of 160 m), discharging 77 m3/s through the plant. Khe Bo Lake discharges 106.8 m3/s. Meanwhile, Ban Ve Lake and Quang Tri Lake currently do not discharge water.
The South Central Coast region recorded A Vuong, Song Bung 4, and Song Hinh reservoirs continuing to generate electricity with a total discharge volume ranging from 28 to more than 56 m3/s.
Many reservoirs such as Song Bung 2, Vinh Son B, Vinh Son C, Song Tranh 2, and Song Ba Ha do not implement regulated discharge.
In the Central Highlands, Ialy, Se San 4, and Pleiku reservoirs maintain stable water levels, without overflowing.
Buon Kuop Lake discharges 10.95 m3/s through the plant and opens 1 deep discharge gate. An Khe Lake discharges 8 m3/s through the spillway, opening 1 surface discharge gate.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 61.75 m (normal water level of 62 m), inflow to the reservoir 120 m3/s, and has not been discharged.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for February 13th, the Northern region will have drizzle and scattered fog at night and in the morning, then light rain in some places. Cold at night and in the morning.
The Southern region will have showers in some places in the late afternoon and night, sunny during the day.
