According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 5:30 am on April 15, in the Northern region, Hoa Binh reservoir recorded an upstream water level of 113.21m, lower than the normal water level by 3.79m. Water flow to the reservoir reached 1,270 m3/s, total discharge flow of 2,373 m3/s, all through the plant, not yet overflowed.
Son La Lake has a water level of 209.68m, lower than the normal water level by more than 5m; total discharge volume of 567 m3/s through the plant.
Lai Chau, Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs have low water flow to the reservoirs and have not been discharged.
At Tuyen Quang Lake, the water level reached 112.75m, 7.25m lower than the normal water level; the water flow to the lake is about 100 m3/s, no discharge has been generated. Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 52.82m, discharging through the plant 451.6 m3/s.
In the North Central region, Ban Ve reservoir discharges 340 m3/s through the plant, Khe Bo reservoir discharges 95.5 m3/s. Trung Son and Quang Tri reservoirs have low flow to the reservoir, not yet discharged.
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, many reservoirs maintain power generation with moderate flow. Ialy reservoir has inflow and discharge flow reaching 230 m3/s; Se San reservoir cluster maintains discharge from 160–256 m3/s through the plant. Some reservoirs on the Srepok system have opened deep discharge gates such as Srepok 3 (2 gates) and Buon Kuop (1 gate).
In the South Central and Southeast regions, most reservoirs have low inflows, operating power generation at a low level or have not been discharged. Tri An Lake recorded inflows of about 100 m3/s and has not been discharged.
