Hydropower reservoirs across the country are lower than the normal water level, the water flow to the reservoirs is not large and water discharge activities are mainly for power generation purposes.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on April 30, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake had an upstream water level of 110.09m, significantly lower than the normal water level of 120m. The water flow to the lake reached about 50 m3/s and water discharge has not been carried out.

In the Northwest region, the terraced lakes on the Da River continue to be in a state of water storage. Lai Chau Lake recorded a water flow of 211 m3/s; Son La reached 222 m3/s.

Hoa Binh reservoir alone is generating electricity with a discharge flow through the plant of 334 m3/s, while the reservoir water level is at 109.11m, still lower than the normal water level by 117m.

In the North Central region, some reservoirs maintain power generation with moderate flow. Trung Son Lake discharges 80 m3/s through the plant, Khe Bo Lake discharges 166.7 m3/s.

The remaining reservoirs such as Ban Ve and Quang Tri have not recorded water discharge activities.

The South Central Coast region continues to record small water inflows to reservoirs. Some power generation reservoirs are at an average level such as Song Bung 4 (49 m3/s), A Vuong (29 m3/s), Song Ba Ha (120 m3/s), Song Hinh (15.22 m3/s). Many other reservoirs have not yet discharged water.

In the Central Highlands, most reservoirs continue to store water. Some power generation or spillway reservoirs with small flow rates such as Se San 4 discharging 136 m3/s through the plant; An Khe discharging 8 m3/s through the spillway; Srepok 3 and Buon Kuop discharging at low levels.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 58.11m, the water inflow to the reservoir reaches 150 m3/s and has not been discharged.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on April 30, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places, sunny skies in the afternoon. Cool weather in the morning and at night with the lowest common temperature of 20 - 23 degrees C. During the day, the highest common temperature is 27 - 30 degrees C.

The Southern region will be hot during the day, with showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and night.
