Hydropower reservoirs across the country on July 4th are generally still lower than the normal water level, some large reservoirs in the North recorded high water flow.

According to updated data at 3:00 PM on July 5 in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 109.18m, water inflow to the reservoir of 1,060m3/s, total discharge volume of 1,223.37m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway is 529m3/s and 1 deep discharge gate is open.

In the Northwest region, the water flow to large reservoirs continues to be high. Hoa Binh Lake recorded a water flow of 3,485m3/s, total discharge of 2,978m3/s. Son La Lake has a flow of 2,446m3/s, total discharge of 3,279m3/s. Lai Chau Lake has a flow of 1,111m3/s, total discharge of 1,649m3/s. Ban Chat, Huoi Quang and Thac Ba reservoirs maintain stable operation, not discharging through spillways.

In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake has an upstream water level of 159.49m, only 0.51m lower than the normal water level. Khe Bo Lake discharges 95.5m3/s through the plant, while Ban Ve and Quang Tri Lakes do not discharge through spillways.

In the South Central region, A Vuong, Song Bung 2, Song Bung 4, Song Tranh 2, Song Ba Ha reservoirs and Vinh Son system all do not discharge through spillways, mainly operating for power generation with discharge flow at low to medium levels.

In the Central Highlands, Pleiku reservoir has a water flow of 566m3/s, the highest in the region. Ialy reservoir recorded a flow of 390m3/s. Buon Kuop reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate, with a total discharge volume of 225.21m3/s, of which 15.21m3/s is through the spillway. An Khe reservoir opens 1 surface discharge gate, discharging 4m3/s through the spillway. Se San 4, Srepok 3, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4, Ham Thuan, Da Mi and Dai Ninh reservoirs continue to operate power generation, not discharging through the spillway or only discharging with small flows.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has an upstream water level of 52.16m, a water inflow of 380m3/s, a total discharge volume of 266m3/s, not discharged through the spillway dam.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on July 2, the Northeast region tonight will have rain, moderate rain and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; tomorrow there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain, especially the Northeast region from tomorrow afternoon will have heavy to very heavy rain.

The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
