According to the forecast bulletin, short-term hydrographic warning of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the North, the water level on the Thao River, Lo River and downstream of the Red River continues the downward trend. At 7:00 AM on August 1st, the water level of the Red River in Hanoi was at 4.98 m; Thao River in Yen Bai 26.96 m, Phu Tho 13.46 m; Lo River in Tuyen Quang 16.79 m.
The flow to Hoa Binh reservoir continues to fluctuate according to the regulation of the above-line hydropower reservoirs, while Tuyen Quang reservoir still maintains opening 1 discharge gate.
On the Thai Binh river system, the water levels of the Cau, Thuong, Luc Nam and Thai Binh rivers continue to fluctuate according to the tide. At 7:00 AM, the water level in Pha Lai reached 1.98 m and is forecast to fluctuate in the range of 1.90-2.40 m in the next 36 hours.
In the North Central region, the water level upstream of the Ma River, Ca River, and Gianh River fluctuates; the midstream is affected by reservoir regulation, the downstream changes according to tides. The water level at 7:00 AM at some stations includes: Giang on the Ma River 1.80 m, Nam Dan on the Ca River 1.40 m, Kim Long on the Huong River 0.55 m.
For the South Central Coast, the water level on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon, Tra Khuc, Kon rivers and downstream of the Ba River continues to be affected by reservoir regulation combined with tidal influence. The water level at Cau Lau on the Thu Bon River reaches 0.62 m, Tra Khuc 1.80 m, Thanh Hoa on the Kon River 6.84 m.
In the Central Highlands and Southeast, the water levels of rivers continue to fluctuate according to the regulation of hydropower reservoirs. At 7:00 AM, the water level of the Dak Bla River in Kon Tum reached 514.92 m, the Krong Ana River in Giang Son 415.54 m, the Dong Nai River in Ta Lai 111.84 m, and the Be River in Phuoc Hoa 21.12 m.
For the Mekong Delta, the water level at the headwaters will continue to rise according to the tide in the next 3-4 days and then change slowly. By August 5, the highest water level on the Tien River in Tan Chau is forecast to reach about 1.95 m, and on the Hau River in Chau Doc about 2.0 m.
