As of 8:00 a.m. on November 27, 2025, according to an update from Vietnam Electricity Group, Hoa Binh Lake recorded upstream water levels at elevation of 116.64m; water flow to the lake reached 1,153m3/s; total discharge was 1,146m3/s.
Implementing the inter-reservoir operation process in the Red River basin, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant closed the bottom spillway at 9:00 p.m. on November 24, 2025. After closing the spillway, the water flow downstream decreased rapidly.
At Tuyen Quang Lake, by 7:00 a.m. on November 27, the upstream water level reached 119.31 m; the water flow to the lake reached 166 m3/s; the total discharge was 375.98 m3/s.

As of 10:00 a.m. on November 26, Son La Lake recorded upstream water levels at 215.11 m; water flow to the lake was 1,611 m3/s; total discharge was 1,224 m3/s. Currently, the unit has closed all bottom spillways, only maintaining power generation through generators to regulate the flow downstream.
A similar situation occurred in Lai Chau Lake, where the upstream water level reached 294.7m; the water flow to the lake reached 798m3/s; the total discharge was 388m3/s. Currently, Lai Chau Hydropower Plant has also closed all spillways and surface spillways, only operating power generation through generators.
At Thac Ba Lake, as of 8:00 a.m. on November 27, the upstream water level reached 57.96 m; the water flow to the lake reached 160 m3/s; the total discharge was 275.14 m3/s. Currently, Thac Ba Hydropower Plant is maintaining 2 floodgates.
Up to this point, most large hydroelectric reservoirs in the North have simultaneously closed to release water, showing that the water source situation has stabilized, creating conditions to ensure safety downstream and maintain stable power production.

It is forecasted that by 7pm tonight, the storm will move in a West-Northwest direction, then turn West Southwest at a speed of about 10km/h. The center of the storm is located at about 12.6 degrees North latitude - 113.6 degrees East longitude, in the Central East Sea, about 140km North-Northwest of Song Tu Tay Island.
The storm is likely to strengthen, with winds reaching level 12, gusts of level 15.
