According to updated data at 8:00 AM on August 29, the upstream water level of Hoa Binh Hydropower Lake is at 104.39 m, while the normal water level is 117 m.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 1,564 m3/s. The total discharge volume downstream was 1,047 m3/s, all through the plant.
Compared to the normal water level, Hoa Binh Lake is currently 12.61 m low. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that on the Da River, the water flow to Hoa Binh Lake is changing slowly.
Previously, in August, Hoa Binh reservoir was repeatedly requested to operate the bottom discharge gate to regulate the reservoir and ensure the safety of the works during the rainy and flood season.
