According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 9:00 am on June 10, Son La Lake had a water inflow rate of 3,019 m3/s, while the total discharge rate was 1,908 m3/s. Hoa Binh Lake recorded a water inflow rate of 1,203 m3/s, higher than the discharge rate of 731 m3/s.
The water level of the two lakes is currently at 197.41m and 97.45m, lower than the normal water level by 17.59m and 19.55m respectively.
In the upstream area, Lai Chau reservoir has a water level of 287.5m, inflow to the reservoir 1,248 m3/s and total discharge flow 1,427 m3/s.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake maintains a water level of 369.33m, only 0.67m lower than the normal water level, with a total discharge flow of 343 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 98.01m, nearly 22m lower than the normal water level of 120m.
Thac Ba Lake maintains a water level of 49.59m, about 8.4m lower than the normal water level.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 10, the Northwest region and from Thanh Hoa to Hue city will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
Other parts of the Northern region are sunny with the highest temperature commonly 29 - 32 degrees C.
The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places; especially in the late afternoon and evening, there are scattered showers and thunderstorms.
