According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 1:30 PM on April 1st, in the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake reached an altitude of 115.18 m, 4.82 m lower than the normal water level.
The water flow to the reservoir reached 126 m3/s and was regulated for power generation with a total discharge flow of 120.58 m3/s.
At the Da River cascade, many lakes are still at low levels. Lai Chau Lake reached 290.01 m, 5 m lower than the normal water level, not yet regulated for discharge. Ban Chat Lake reached 431.08 m, near the dead water level; the inflow to the lake is only 11 m3/s and has not been discharged.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.35 m, 0.65 m lower than the normal water level, with a flow to the lake of 5 m3/s.
Two largest hydropower reservoirs in the North continue to operate for power generation.
Son La Hydropower Lake reached a water level of 213.81 m, inflow to the lake 103 m3/s, total discharge through the plant 183 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir reached 115.87 m, 1.13 m lower than the normal water level; water inflow to the reservoir reached 933 m3/s and is discharging electricity at 361 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba reservoir reached a water level of 53.44 m, lower than the normal water level by more than 4.5 m and has not been discharged for regulation.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the weather forecast for April 1st, due to the impact of cold air, the Northern region in the evening and tonight will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; tomorrow there will be light rain in some places, sunny in the afternoon.
The highest temperature in the delta is commonly 26 - 29 degrees C, in some places above 29 degrees C; especially in the Northwest, the highest is 30 - 33 degrees C, in some places above 35 degrees C.
The Southern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and at night; sunny during the day, hot in some places, especially the East will be hot during the day.
