On the morning of April 1st, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo organized a Conference to announce the Politburo's Decision on the transfer of 5 agencies, including: Vietnam Television (VTV), Voice of Vietnam (VOV), Vietnam News Agency (VNA), Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology from agencies directly under the Government to be non-business units of the Party Central Committee; and at the same time received 5 Party committees from the Government Party Committee to the Party committees of central Party agencies.
Attending the conference were Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Member of the Politburo, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies.
Also attending the Conference were Politburo members, Secretary of the Party Central Committee: Head of the Central Organization Committee Le Minh Hung; Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Le Minh Tri; Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Commission Nguyen Thanh Nghi; Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Trinh Van Quyet; Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Pham Gia Tuc.

At the conference, Mr. Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee - announced: On March 30, 2026, the Politburo issued Decisions on the functions, tasks, powers, organizational structure, and working relationships of agencies: Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, VTV, VOV, VNA.
The Politburo also issued Decisions on assignment and appointment of personnel:
Mr. Le Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, concurrently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, participates in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies for the term 2025-2030;
Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, concurrently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee, participates in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies for the term 2025-2030;
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Member of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of General Director of Vietnam Television, concurrently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, participates in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies for the term 2025-2030;
Mr. Do Tien Sy, Member of the Party Central Committee, holds the position of General Director of Voice of Vietnam, concurrently holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, participates in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies for the term 2025-2030;
Ms. Vu Viet Trang holds the position of General Director of VNA, concurrently holding the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Central Party Agencies for the term 2025-2030.

Politburo Member, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu presented the Decisions to representatives of leaders of 5 agencies, including: VTV, VOV, VNA, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and Party and State leaders presented flowers to congratulate leaders of 5 agencies.
Speaking at the conference, Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized that the transfer of 5 agencies from government agencies to be non-business units of the Party Central Committee; and at the same time receiving the above party committees from the Government Party Committee to the Party Committees of central Party agencies is a very important decision.
This decision reflects the Party's strategic vision in continuing to innovate leadership methods, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations of key national press and media agencies, key scientific research agencies of the country; and at the same time strengthen the direct and comprehensive leadership of the Central Government over areas that play a particularly important role in the country's development.
Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu affirmed: "The transfer of agencies to the Central Executive Committee is not only an organizational change, but more importantly a shift in position, role, requirements and political tasks in the new development stage of the country.

After that, Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of Vietnam Television Nguyen Thanh Lam, representing leaders of 5 agencies, spoke to receive the assignment.
