According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on May 14, Tuyen Quang reservoir recorded a water level of 110.74 m, lower than the normal water level of 120 m; water inflow to the reservoir 132 m3/s, total discharge output of 644.29 m3/s.
On the Da River system, Lai Chau Lake reached a water level of 290.41 m, currently discharging 1,323 m3/s of electricity. Son La Lake has a water level of 204.75 m, lower than the normal water level by more than 10 m; water inflow to the lake is 954 m3/s, total discharge volume is 2,860 m3/s.
Hoa Binh Lake is at 105.67 m, lower than the normal water level by 11.33 m; water inflow to the lake reached 2,128 m3/s, total discharge volume 2,894 m3/s.
Meanwhile, Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 51.35 m, with a total discharge output of 294.4 m3/s.
Ban Chat and Huoi Quang reservoirs are currently not generating electricity due to low water flow to the reservoirs, reaching 43 m3/s and 17 m3/s respectively.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 14, the Northern region will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.
The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36 - 38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.
The Southern region is hot, the East has places with intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 36 degrees C, in some places above 37 degrees C.
