Northern hydropower reservoirs on July 23 continued to be lower than normal water levels, while some reservoirs are discharging large amounts of water through the plant.

According to updated data at 10:00 AM on July 23, Tuyen Quang reservoir has a water level of 105.9 m, a water inflow of 1,049 m3/s, and a total discharge of 714.67 m3/s through the plant.

In the Northwest region, Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 286.43 m, water inflow of 1,660 m3/s, total discharge of 1,570 m3/s. Ban Chat Lake reached 469.81 m, water inflow 296 m3/s, discharge 242 m3/s.

Huo Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 369.9 m, inflow rate of 391 m3/s, total discharge rate of 340 m3/s. Son La Lake reached 198.37 m, inflow rate of 2,690 m3/s, total discharge rate of 3,223 m3/s.

Notably, Hoa Binh reservoir has a water level of 102.42 m, which is 117 m lower than the normal water level. Water flow to the reservoir reaches 3,879 m3/s, total discharge volume 4,373 m3/s, of which discharge through the spillway is 1,515 m3/s and through the plant is 2,858 m3/s. The reservoir is opening 1 deep discharge gate.

Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 52.15 m, a water inflow of 353 m3/s and a total discharge volume of 445.78 m3/s, all through the plant.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting on July 23, the Northern region has scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain in some places. Rain is concentrated in the night and morning. From the evening of July 23, rain tends to increase.

The area from Nghe An to Da Nang and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature commonly 35 - 37 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.

The Southern region has showers and thunderstorms in some places, especially in the late afternoon and evening there are scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places.
