According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 5:00 am on May 31, at Hoa Binh reservoir, the upstream water level reached 102.83m, 14.17m lower than the normal water level. The water flow to the reservoir reached 408m3/s, while the total discharge through the plant reached 1,401m3/s.
Son La Lake has a water level of 194.8m, 20.2m lower than the normal water level of 215m. The water flow to the lake reached 378m3/s and no water discharge was carried out.
At Lai Chau Lake, the inflow to the lake reached 814m3/s - the highest in the area, the upstream water level was at 288.14m, nearly 7m lower than the normal water level. Ban Chat Lake recorded inflow to the lake of 256m3/s, the water level reached 441.68m.
Huo Huoi Quang Lake has a water level of 369m, only 1m away from the normal water level; water inflow to the lake reaches 62m3/s. Meanwhile, Thac Ba Lake has a water level of 50.24m, 7.76m lower than the normal water level, water inflow to the lake reaches 88m3/s.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang reservoir has an upstream water level of 102.38m, the water inflow to the reservoir reaches 249m3/s. The plant is generating electricity with a total discharge flow of 765.64m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on May 31, the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the evening and tonight, sunny tomorrow, with hot sun in some places.
The Southern region and Lam Dong province have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, with locally very heavy rain.
