Hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands region are lower than the normal water level, reservoirs mainly operate to generate electricity, no cases of deep discharge opening are recorded.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 3:00 PM on June 16, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had a water level of 155.91 m, 4.09 m lower than the normal water level; Ban Ve Lake reached 174.94 m, 25.06 m lower. Khe Bo Lake reached 64.46 m, only 0.54 m lower than the normal water level and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 216.5 m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir has a water level of 360.41 m, 19.59 m lower than the normal water level; Song Bung 2 reservoir reached 586.32 m, 18.68 m lower; Song Tranh 2 reservoir reached 158.09 m, 16.91 m lower. Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 102.71 m, 2.29 m lower and Song Hinh reservoir reached 203.96 m, 5.04 m lower than the normal water level.

In the Central Highlands, some reservoirs have water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3 reaching 303.59 m, lower than 0.91 m; Se San 3A reaching 238.71 m, lower than 0.29 m; Srepok 3 reaching 271.75 m, lower than 0.25 m and An Khe reaching 428.58 m, lower than 0.42 m.

Meanwhile, large reservoirs such as Ialy, Pleiku, Thuong Kon Tum, Dong Nai 3, Dong Nai 4 still maintain water levels significantly lower than normal water levels. Buon Kuop Lake is discharging 15.25 m3/s through the spillway; An Khe Lake discharges 4 m3/s through the spillway; Dong Nai 4 Lake discharges 168.2 m3/s through the plant.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 16, the mountainous and midland areas of the Northern region will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain. The delta area will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. The rain time will be concentrated in the late afternoon and night.

The area from southern Thanh Hoa to Da Nang and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will be hot, with intense heat in some places with the highest common temperature of 35-37 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.

The Central Highlands and Southern regions will be sunny during the day, with showers and scattered thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain.
