According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 10:00 AM on June 12, in the Northern region, hydropower reservoirs on the Da River system received a large amount of water.
Hoa Binh Lake has a water inflow rate of 3,873m3/s, the lake water level is at an elevation of 98.83m, 18.17m lower than the normal water level. Son La Lake recorded a water inflow rate of 2,685m3/s, the water level reached 196.63m, 18.37m lower than the design threshold.
Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 287.45m, 7.55m lower than the normal water level; Ban Chat Lake reached 448.06m, 26.94m lower. Notably, Huoi Quang Lake reached 369.32m, only 0.68m lower than the normal water level.
In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake has a water level of 97.95m, 22.05m lower than the normal water level. Thac Ba Lake reached 49.59m, 8.41m lower.
In the North Central region, Trung Son Lake reached 157.34m, 2.66m lower than the normal water level. Ban Ve Lake is at 175.26m, 24.74m lower; Khe Bo Lake reached 63.94m, only 1.06m lower than the design threshold.
In the South Central Coast, many reservoirs continue to maintain water levels lower than normal water levels by 2-20m. Among them, A Vuong reservoir reached 360.78m, Song Tranh 2 reservoir reached 158.78m and Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 102.78m.
The Central Highlands region recorded some reservoirs approaching the normal water level such as Se San 3 (303.76/304.5m), Se San 3A (238.78/239m), Dong Nai 4 (475.6/476m) and Da Mi (323.82/325m). Meanwhile, Ialy, Pleikurong, Thuong Kon Tum, Buon Tua Srah and Dong Nai 3 reservoirs are still significantly lower than the design threshold.
In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water level of 55.14m, 6.86m lower than the normal water level. The plant is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 872m3/s.
According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 12, the Northern and North Central regions will be sunny during the day, with hot sun in some places with the highest temperature commonly around 31 - 34 degrees Celsius, and in some places above 35 degrees Celsius.
The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain.
