Most hydropower reservoirs across the country are still below normal water levels, and the reservoirs are operating stably, ensuring power generation.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 8:00 am on June 15, in the Northwest region, Hoa Binh reservoir recorded the largest water inflow to the reservoir with 2,068 m3/s, while the total discharge flow reached 3,030 m3/s, all through the plant. The reservoir water level is at an elevation of 99.68 m, 17.32 m lower than the normal water level.

Son La Lake has a water flow to the lake of 1,545 m3/s, a total discharge volume of 1,592 m3/s and a water level of 195.66 m.

Lai Chau Lake has a water level of 287.5 m, water inflow to the lake is 1,060 m3/s, higher than the total discharge volume of 789 m3/s. Meanwhile, Huoi Quang Lake reached 368.29 m, only 0.29 m higher than the dead water level and 1.71 m lower than the normal water level.

In the Northeast region, Tuyen Quang Lake has a water inflow rate of 358 m3/s, with a total discharge rate of 786.02 m3/s. Thac Ba Lake maintains a water level of 49.38 m and has not yet discharged water.

In the North Central region, Khe Bo reservoir operated with a total discharge rate of 214.3 m3/s, while Trung Son and Ban Ve reservoirs did not discharge water at the time of update.

In the Central Highlands, Ialy Lake discharges 108 m3/s, of which 54 m3/s is through the spillway and 54 m3/s through the plant. Se San 3 Lake has a water inflow rate of 383 m3/s, total discharge rate of 400 m3/s. Se San 4 Lake maintains the inflow rate and total discharge rate at the same level of 225 m3/s.

Notably, An Khe reservoir is discharging 46 m3/s, of which 4 m3/s is through the spillway and 42 m3/s through the plant; Buon Kuop reservoir discharges 15.03 m3/s completely through the spillway. These are rare reservoirs with spillway discharge activities in the system.

In the Southeast region, Tri An reservoir has a water inflow rate of 260 m3/s, with a total discharge rate of 857 m3/s. The current reservoir water level is at 54.76 m, 7.24 m lower than the normal water level.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 15, the Northern region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain; especially the delta region will be hot during the day, and in the late afternoon tomorrow there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Rainfall in the Northern region will be concentrated in the late afternoon and night.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and the east of provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak will have hot and intense heat with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees C, in some places above 38 degrees C.

The Central Highlands and Southern regions will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, with locally heavy rain.
