Most hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands region are lower than normal water levels, and the reservoirs mainly generate electricity through power plants.

In the North Central region, Trung Son reservoir has a water level of 150.07 m, only 0.07 m higher than the dead water level but still 9.93 m lower than the normal water level (160 m). The inflow to the reservoir reached 231 m3/s, while the total discharge volume was 490 m3/s.

Ban Ve Lake reached a water level of 173.32 m, 26.68 m lower than the normal water level (200 m). Khe Bo Lake has a water level of 64.53 m, 0.47 m lower than the normal water level (65 m). Quang Tri Lake recorded a water level of 460.87 m, 19.13 m lower than the normal water level (480 m).

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong Lake reached 354.1 m, 29.9 m lower than the normal water level. Song Bung 2 Lake reached 577.72 m, 27.28 m lower; Song Bung 4 Lake reached 210.16 m, 12.34 m lower; Song Tranh 2 Lake reached 153.2 m, 21.8 m lower.

Vinh Son reservoir group is also lower than the normal water level, including Vinh Son A reaching 767.32 m, Vinh Son B reaching 817.97 m and Vinh Son C reaching 972.03 m. Song Ba Ha reservoir has a water level of 102.78 m, 2.22 m lower, while Song Hinh reservoir reaches 201.82 m, 7.18 m lower.

In the Central Highlands, Thuong Kon Tum Lake has a water level of 1,143.68 m, 16.32 m lower than the normal water level (1,160 m). Pleikrông Lake reached 548.29 m, 21.71 m lower; Ialy Lake reached 497.8 m, 17.2 m lower; Se San 4 Lake reached 211.95 m, 3.05 m lower.

Some lakes have water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3 (303.84/304.5 m), An Khe (428.18/429 m), Da Mi (324.2/325 m) and Dong Nai 4 (475.09/476 m).
