Most hydropower reservoirs in the Central - Central Highlands region are still lower than the normal water level, but many reservoirs are at a safe level and do not discharge overflows.

According to data from Vietnam Electricity Group, at 12:00 on June 4, in the North Central region, Trung Son Lake had a water level of 154.1m, 5.9m lower than the normal water level. Ban Ve Lake reached 176.67m, 23.33m lower.

Meanwhile, Khe Bo reservoir reached 64.26m, only 0.74m lower than the normal water level and is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 95.5m3/s.

Quang Tri Lake recorded a water level of 466.57m, 13.43m lower than the design threshold. The plant is generating electricity with a discharge flow of 18m3/s.

In the South Central Coast, A Vuong reservoir reached 362.26m, 17.74m lower than the normal water level; Song Tranh 2 reservoir was at 161.18m, 13.82m lower. Song Ba Ha reservoir reached 102.96m, only about 2m lower than the normal water level and is generating electricity with a discharge rate of 136m3/s.

Hydropower reservoirs on the Vinh Son - Song Hinh system also maintain relatively stable water levels. In which, Vinh Son A reservoir reached 769.33m above the design threshold of 775m; Vinh Son B reservoir reached 819.87m above the threshold of 826m; Vinh Son C reservoir reached 973.1m above the threshold of 981m. Song Hinh reservoir reached 204.62m, 4.38m lower than the normal water level.

In the Central Highlands region, some lakes have water levels approaching normal water levels such as Se San 3 (304.5m), Se San 3A (238.7m), Dong Nai 4 (475.53m) and Da Mi (324.06m). Se San 3 Lake is currently reaching the correct normal water level according to the design.

Meanwhile, Thuong Kon Tum, Pleikurong, Ialy, Buon Tua Srah and Dong Nai 3 reservoirs are still 10-20m lower than the normal water level. Notably, Ialy reservoir recorded a water inflow rate of 335m3/s and generated electricity with a discharge rate of 251m3/s.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on June 4, the Northern region will have hot sunny days, with intense heat in some places with the highest temperature above 37 degrees Celsius; from the evening to the afternoon, there will be rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang city and eastern Quang Ngai province has hot and intense heat, especially intense in some places with the highest temperature commonly 36-38 degrees Celsius, in some places above 39 degrees Celsius.

The Southern region in the afternoon and night has showers and scattered thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain.
